Free Pattern Revealed: Throw-back Granny Chevron

January 1, 2018

Thank you to Red Heart yarns for sponsoring the FREE Throw-back Granny Chevron! I loved the idea of calling it a 'Throwback' because it reminds me of a modern take on the 1970's chevron afghans. Calling it a Throw-back Granny, is just hilarious for lots of reasons. Let's really not throwback our grannies... maybe your granny throws one back?!  However you call it, this blanket was great fun. I can't recall ever working with SO MANY colors. 11 colors. It's a serious stash-busting project. It's a two-row repeat so it is very easy, rhythmic and meditative to stitch. For an even more zen-like experience, you can crochet it all in one color. Many people though, will be elated to use stash to make this legendary blanket. Also... it's worked for the length of the project... nice long rows.

This project was so easy I was able to READ while I worked.

What colors would you grab from your stash?
